Trap Neuter Return (TNR)
Nearly 20% of households feed stray and feral cats. Trapping, sterilizing, and returning cats allows for a safer and healthier life and reduces the cat population through attrition.

Without the regular annual influx of kittens being born, the care of these cats remains a lot more manageable. The cats are healthier and safer because they no longer fight or roam long distances. It's a better existence for cats and the humans who are part of their environment.

How it works
Cats are humanely trapped and then transported to a vet clinic to be spayed or neutered and vaccinated for rabies and distemper. After recovery, the cat is then returned to his "home". Caretakers continue to feed, water, provide shelter, and monitor the general health of their cats.

As long as these cats have a reliable food source, water, and shelter, they can lead healthy lives. All cats deserve a loving home but some of these cats simply would not adapt and in light of that are much better off left in their own environment.
